FAQs

Where are the culinary events held?
All of our events, without exception, are held at The Table Culinary Studio in the former “New London United Church”, located at 4295 Graham’s Road, Rte 8, just steps away from the birthplace of Lucy Maud Montgomery.

Who can participate in the classes?
Anyone who likes food and is old enough to handle the cooking utensils can participate in the majority of our classes.  Our "Helping Hands" class has been specifically designed for families and younger children.

How large are the classes?
The maximum number of guests for our classes is 10.

What is involved in classes?
Classes are interactive, 100% hands-on culinary events. With the guidance of our chef-in-charge, you will be guided through each step of the preparation / cooking process, but it is “you” who prepares the food.

What days/times are events held?
These vary. Please check our calendar by clicking on “Book Now” in the Main Menu.

What should I bring to class?
Usually, just yourself.  Aprons are provided for you to wear during the class to protect your clothing.  It is suggested that you wear comfortable closed toed shoes and not sandals for your safety.  If a class includes an outing to a local farm or fishery we also recommend that you bring sunscreen and dress appropriately for the weather.

What are the costs?
Costs vary according to the type and complexity of the culinary event.  Check our Class and Dining descriptions for current pricing.

How do I register for a class or book a dinner reservation?
You can register for a class by filling in the online registration by clicking on “Book Now” or viewing the class calendar on the "Classes" page.  You can book a dinner reservation by calling us 647-920-1542.

What forms of payment do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, Debit and cash.

What is your cancellation policy?
A full refund for classes will be given if 2 weeks written notice is given.  Classes are also transferable to another date if notice is given 2 weeks prior to the date of the class booked.  If your plans change less than 2 weeks before the date of the class, you can send someone else in your place.

Is parking available?
Yes, there is plenty of free parking beside the church and alongside the road.

Are there washroom facilities?
Yes, there are 2 washrooms on the ground floor of our studio.

I have an allergy to certain foods.  Can I find out in advance the ingredients that will be used?
Definitely. We want to make sure that you are safe and that the experience is over-the-top enjoyable.  Please be sure to provide any allergies in advance when registering for a class online or booking a dinner by phone.

I have a handicap – can you accommodate?
We will do our very best to do so. Please contact us in advance of registering to discuss your accommodation requirements.

Do you sell gift certificates?
Absolutely – giving the gift of a culinary experience is a unique and special gift.  You may purchase a Gift Certificate through the website by clicking here or you can contact us directly by e-mail at [email protected] and we will be happy to help you. Gift Certificates purchased online will be emailed to you.

I’m searching for a venue for a special event.  Is your space available?
That is a definite possibility. Please contact us with the details of your requirements and we will do our best to meet your needs.

There is a dish I have always wanted to learn to make.  Would it be possible to arrange a specific class for this?
By all means. We can either advertise it as an add-on or, if you bring at least 4-10 friends, you can have the whole place to yourself. Please contact us with the details and we will let you know what we can do to meet your needs.
