A Taste of the Island

 Each night The Table offers unique PEI dining experiences from A La Carte evenings in the Spring and Fall, to Set Menu Dinners in the Summer.  All of our meals feature fresh seasonal Island ingredients prepared daily by our Chefs.  The showpiece of our dining room is our signature 12-foot harvest table, designed for bringing together old friends and new.  Last season, we added several new tables to the dining room to allow each reservation to be seated at socially distanced private tables while still enjoying an intimate dining experience.

This is Island dining at it’s best, providing you with the opportunity to enjoy fresh local foods in the welcoming and beautiful setting of a renovated rural church nestled in the rolling pastoral hills of New London.

Wednesdays to Sundays 

Discover the flavours of Prince Edward Island!  Choose from our A La Carte menu that celebrates the bounty of Canada's Food Island with culinary dishes that highlight the best foods from land and sea.  We take pride in offering the freshest produce, meats and seafoods from our local farmers, fishers and producers.  Our A La Carte menu will vary through the seasons, often from week to week, to showcase the sweet light tastes of Spring, the savoury colorful crops of Summer, and the warm calming notes of the Fall harvest.  New menus will be posted on Sundays for the week ahead.

Field to Table

A sumptuous feast from the land! Join us for a meal honoring the farmers who cultivate and tend the rich red soil of Prince Edward Island, growing crops and raising animals. Explore the flavours of each season and the lushness of the land with a four-course menu that will change through the summer to highlight the savoury, sweet and colorful crops of the Island in culinary dishes that feature pasture-raised pork, lamb or chicken. A decadent dessert provides the perfect finishing touch to this land-loving gourmet event.

Tuesday

Traditional Island Feast

Enjoy a feast of Prince Edward Island’s finest seafoods and traditional fare in a delectable expression of Island flavours and culture.  Enjoy an evening of conversation and laughter with your tablemates while savouring a four-course meal of traditional dishes with a modern twist. Each week the Chef will design the menu to feature the freshest of ingredients, creating starter courses that feature mollusks and pasture-raised chicken, followed by a main course of lobster and freshly picked vegetables, and finished with a sweet seasonal dessert.

Fisherman’s Catch

A bountiful feast of Prince Edward Island’s freshest catch!  Join us for a celebration of your favourite seafoods, fished locally from the ocean waters, rivers and bays of PEI and perfectly prepared for your indulgence.  Enjoy a four-course meal of delicious dishes featuring mollusks, lobster, and fresh fish, paired with organic Island vegetables and ending with a beautiful seasonal dessert.  Whether you are a seafood lover or a pescatarian this meal is sure to delight you with new menu items each week that explore the culinary versatility of these jewels of the deep.

Thursday

North Shore Surf and Turf

A traditional favourite with a North Shore twist!  Start the evening with drinks, charcuterie and fresh oysters in the garden. Take in the beauty of the rural vista while speaking with the Chef as he prepares some “Local Bites” for your enjoyment and provides a culinary demonstration at our outdoor cookhouse.  Then gather inside at your private table to enjoy a mouth-watering four-course Surf and Turf feast of steamed mussels, lobster, beef and fresh picked vegetables, topped off with a delicious seasonal dessert. 

Experience the bounty of the North Shore!

In the event of inclement or unseasonably cool weather, this dinner will be hosted entirely indoors.

Friday

Lobster, Tales and Tunes

A good old-fashioned Prince Edward Island party!  Make yourselves at home with Michael Pendergast, an iconic Island entertainer who blends the traditional sounds and stories of PEI with contemporary songs and themes.  With a wink and a nod to the Island tradition of hospitality and warmth, Michael will create a unique and memorable East Coast musical experience as you first enjoy drinks, charcuterie and oysters in the garden and then a five-course meal of PEI’s famous mussels, lobster, beef and organic local vegetables served at your private table indoors.  

Tap your toes and sing along as you create memories to last a long, long time!

Chef’s Table

You are cordially invited to an intimate culinary evening with Chef Hunter! Join us at your private table for an exclusive seven-course farm-to-table feast of meticulously crafted dishes expertly prepared and presented by our Executive Chef, Hunter Guindon. Throughout the evening Chef Hunter will personally describe each dish, the source of foods and his inspiration for flavour pairings, allowing you to ask questions and gain an appreciation for the richness of our North Shore food community. Whether you are a foodie or a local food enthusiast this unique epicurean event is one to savour.

Cancellations

The Table’s evening dining experiences are unique and intimate, offering seating for only up to 24 guests each night.  Advance reservations are required because each meal is prepared exclusively for our booked guests.  We understand that it is sometimes necessary for guests to cancel reservations due to unforeseen circumstances.  Cancellations made well in advance can often be filled by our waitlist however cancellations made with no or short notice (less than 48 hours before a dinner) can leave empty spaces which detract from the experience of other guests and compromise our viability as a very small business.  Please, if a cancellation is required, give us as much advance notice as possible.
